Marblehead gauge

Home Design Build Race Data Analysis Other Topics

A while back I was involved in measuring Marblehead boats, and saw a nice-looking gauge in the SAILSetc workshop.  I constructed two STL files (LH and RH) to print a copy in 3D; when printed the two parts are joined together.

When assembled, the gauge is around 400 x 80 x 0.6.  The radius of curvature of the top edge is 900.  The width and depth of the cut-outs along the lower straight-edge are used for various points of measurement where some sail feature needs to be no more than 20 or 25 or 40 or 105 in size.
